JP Saw – American Circular Saw Blade Manufacturer
In 2019, Thurston Mfg. Co. closed its doors after 133 years. Founded in 1883, Thurston had an unparalled reputation of manufacturing and supplying the highest quality American made circular cutting tools.
As a family owned and operated business for four generations, Thurston had always invested in precision equipment necessary to meet their customers' most demanding tolerance requests.
Companies who needed high quality cutting tools supplied on a consistent basis turned to Thurston for their cutting needs.
Thurston products were considered the gold standard in the cutting tool industry until they closed.

A Message From The Owner
My name is Jim Petrosso, owner of JP Saw Mfg. For 20 years, I served as the operations manager for Thurston. When Thurston closed, I purchased a large majority of their high precision machinery, and along with former employees of Thurston, started JP Saw Mfg. We currently supply many of Thurston's former customers with the same high-quality products that they were used to getting from Thurston.
For the last six years we have primarily supplied the specialty products that were not available from other manufacturers. We have been supplying the same exact blades with the same salt bath hardening process that Thurston supplied.
We have decided to start manufacturing Thurston’s former catalog items, along with the specialty items we already make. These items can be viewed on this website. Minimum purchase requirements may apply.
On this website you will see plain metal slitting saws, slotting saws, cutting saws, well pipe cutting saws, and jewelers slotting saws. We will be manufacturing these items with the same exact tolerances that Thurston always supplied in the past.
So, if you have been having trouble finding a product that is comparatively the same or close to Thurston's, then please give us a call.
